Is it Cold or Hot? That is the question. This is the time of year when the weather is not predictable and most days if you’re not vigilant about checking the temperature. You’ll end up improperly dressed. Here are TheCuffLink’s suggestions for navigating the change of seasons, and never dressing confused in public.
It’s time to start blending the wardrobes, for a simple style to wear to work. Simply combine a polo shirt, dress pants, and top it off with an appropriate cardigan. During down times we suggest combining a chino or jeans with a t-shirt, try adding a blazer and a light scarf to create a chic look.
Please clean your closet out. This is the time of year when you should take an inventory of Items you already own. Why waste money of new items when you’re most likely sitting of a treasure trove of style. All of your heavy sweaters and heavy wool items should be properly pack away and stored, or at least moved to the back of the closet. Please keep the light sweaters around. They are light and can be incorporated with any outfit. They also look great under a trench coat.
You can still get away with wearing most types of footwear during this time. You can even break out those boats shoes. We would say the most important thing to consider especially on those days when it gets warm would be, can my feet breathe? So a shoe with a cotton shell, or a light loafer would be most appropriate. The loafer alternative for those causal moments would be a boat show. The only footwear we would ban until at least late April would be Sandals and flip flop
The only thing TheCuffLink would suggest about color would be to add pops of bold color. We would say stick to bold colors during this time and gradually move into pastels. We also suggest you stick to following TheCuffLink. We will ensure you are aware of all the current trends and provide suggestions for incorporating them in your wardrobe. Please keep checking back with us during the month of March for our style ideas for spring 2012.
